On the 2nd of April, as part of the "Experimental and Molecular Neurobiology" master course for Lund University students, Alessandra Cifra and Natalia Avaliani, two EPIXCHANGE Marie Curie fellows, has organized a full day lab activity focused on the experimental research work carried out inside EPIXCHANGE. Sixteen students visited the laboratory of the Experimental Epilepsy Group where Alessandra and Natalia was currently working and had the chance to get to know more about the use of gene therapy-based approaches for the treatment of partial epilepsy. Students had also the occasion to assist to a real experiment and to understand the importance of in vitro electrophysiological techniques for the study of neuronal activity.
