Unistem day 2014 and Epixchange

The high school students with Marilyne Labasque and Pascal Trempat are discovering the Epixchange project.

Ferrara 03/14/2014

As part of the 6th edition of the UniStem day 2014, Marilyne Labasque and Pascal Trempat, two experienced researchers supported by the Marie Curie actions, have met around 60 high school students accompanied by their professors at the University of Ferrara. It was a great opportunity for these two researchers to present the EC 7th FW project Epixchange and to explain the partnership within the consortium that aims potential medical applications for epilepsy. Marilyne and Pascal explained them the advantages to develop innovative gene therapy using herpes simplex virus type1-derived amplicon vectors generated by the SME Bioviron (Lyon, France). It was also an opportunity for the students to discover some scientific experiments in course. In collaboration with others team members, Marilyne and Pascal have shown to the students the diverse aspects of the scientific research and how the day-to-day life of scientists may be organized.
